Entry: Reflections - updated! Sunday, December 24, 2006

Apologies for the delay, the events that followed the new year caught me by surprise in terms of work & relationships. Nevertheless, all's good. Praise God!:)

  • Think of atleast 3 major successes - incl work, personal & team efforts

    -   World Vision's 30-Hour Famine
    -   Reaching out to the youths and being more accountable to
    -   Joining the gym and participated in a few retreats/conferences
that help to realign me to God's way

  1. Reflect on 2 disappointments. If they were unavoidable, what did you learn? Can any issues be resolved & if so, what steps can you take?

-   Did not draw as close to God as I wanted to

-   Spending quality time with family & youths

  1. What goals would you like to achieve in 2007 - work & personal. Think big, if money was no object what would you do? Is there a way to take small steps to make this dream possible?

-   To plan for my working stint in another continent, hopefully sometime mid-2008

-    To spend more time with the youths

-     To get to know some of my close friends better

  1. Think of the important people in your life. Have you spent enough time with them communicating with them?

-   My family, youths – more quality time with family

  1. List the priorities in your life. Have you given each of those attention they deserve? If not, what's got in the way? Focus on ways to remove such distractions form your life. You can then spend time with those you really want to be with, doing the things you love.

-     God – to be more consistent in my daily walk with God

-   Family & friends – quality time & pray consistently for them

-   Ministry – to serve in the youth ministry & be accountable to individuals. Have committed to teach the Form 5 in our Youth Bible
study

-   Personal development – to be more socially aware and exercise
my rights. I've signed up to join a monthly "Total Truth" study group, read books that will broaden my mind, improve my spending habit & physical health
